Associate Movement Director
Gabrielle is an associate movement director for Captivate U.K. She is a director, movement coach and theatre maker., and is founder and director of Company Gabrielle Moleta.
Born in UK of Italian/New Zealand parentage, much of Gabrielle’s childhood was spent in Western Australia. She studied Contemporary Dance in Paris, Physical Theatre at Odeon Theater, Vienna before training at Arts Ed, London on The Acting Company.
As a movement director Gabrielle’s work has been seen nationally and internationally on all scales of theatre. For more than two decades she has worked in Transformation and Imaginative Improvisation as an approach to actor training. Gabrielle has worked at The Rose Theatre Kingston, The Watermill Theatre, The Unicorn, Theatre Royal Margate and for companies including The World Famous, (pyrotechnics, 2012 Cultural Olympiad), Chalkfoot Theatre Arts, National Youth Music Theatre and Vienna’s English Theatre.
As a performer, Gabrielle was a featured movement artist in the Paramount film, World War Z. Other acting credits include the Early Hours of a Reviled Man and Miss Julie, and ‘Gloria’ in the BBC sitcom The Savages.
